Mark and I have been truly blessed by all the wonderful things that come into our life. We've never been so hard on our luck that we couldn't pay our bills- if we were having a rough time there has always been something that came along at the perfect time to make things easier. When we were living at our apartment, Mark lost his job and we couldn't pay out rent. Then our apartment complex manager called us to tell us that we have been over charged on our rent for quite a while and we had two months overpaid, and that we didn't have to pay rent for the next two months. Perfect timing. That's how thing have always been for us.
The day we closed on our house we were informed that our mortgage company over paid on the closing costs, and that there was an eight hundred dollar balance that was given to us in the form of a check. We couldn't have been more excited to be able to pay for all of our moving expenses without having to dip into what little savings we have. Now we are waiting for a five hundred dollar gift card to arrive in the mail that we get for using the C.P. Morgan referral program. Mark and I may not get everything we want but we get everything we need and for that, I am thankful.
We needed a bed frame-- my mother & aunt chipped in and gave us a bed frame as a housewarming present. We needed a vacuum- my mom gave us one of her old vacuums she doesn't use anymore. We needed an oven and a fridge-- Mark's mother sold us a set for two hundred dollars. We needed some odds and ends for our house -- our friends gave us a gift card for Home Depot. We are truly blessed in every aspect of our lives and I cannot stress how thankful I am for everything that makes our lives easier.
Mark is going to apply for a new job in a couple of weeks at the casino that recently opened just outside of town. It will be a fifty cent pay increase, less driving distance, health benefits, opportunities for advancement, and will come with raises after ninety days and then yearly. It would be very good for us if he gets this new job. And you know what? I think he will get it.
